You may be wondering, "What is a health coach and why do I need one?" Let me answer that question by asking some questions:
Have you ever received good advice that you were unable to follow?
Has your doctor or healthcare provider ever recommended a lifestyle change that you found to be unsustainable?
If so, you are not alone! In fact, most people have a very difficult time implementing lifestyle changes without some type of ongoing support.
Think of the world's best Olympians. Did they become champion athletes on their own? Absolutely not! They have a coach, if not several coaches, that understand their strengths and weaknesses, see the bigger picture, understand the game, and help the athletes condition themselves to achieve incredible accomplishments. And so it is with you.
Health Coaches are knowledgeable advisers who provide ongoing support and guidance as you set goals and make sustainable changes that improve your health and happiness. As your Health Coach, I will listen carefully and help you to navigate the world of contradictory nutrition and lifestyle advice to determine what changes are necessary for you.
I get to know you personally. My program is not a "one size fits all" regimen. I will spend a lot of time with you discussing your wellness goals, listening to your concerns, and creating a manageable plan of action that is customized specifically for you. You do all of the work-just like the Olympian athletes-but you will have a constant companion supporting you every step of the way.
My ultimate goal as your health coach is to enable you to make lifestyle changes that last for the rest of your life.
